4/20 I spoke for NAMI about Cannabis-Induced Psychosis!

April 20th (AKA 4/20) is the unofficial stoners’ holiday. As it happens, this day turned out to fall on the same day that the South Bay chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness https://www.nami.org/find-your-local-nami/california/nami-south-bay-los-angeles-county/was having its monthly meeting. I was very excited to be invited to speak. The presentation was about writers writing about mental illness. It was moderated by the exceptional writer and VP of NAMI South Bay, John Conway https://jcconway.com/about/.

Also on the panel, was another very talented writer, Jason Park https://jasonjjpark.com/. Of note, Jason wrote a book about his true-life experiences with bipolar disorder. It is a fascinating read. We had a great discussion about our methods of writing and why we decided to write the books we penned. Following was a fruitful Q & A. This was the best 4/20 I have ever had.
